As Alabama finally makes its way toward fall weather, everything happening on and around the state’s lakes moves to the top of the list for family fun. From food festivals to pumpkin patches, there is truly something for everyone to enjoy! If live music and a good ol’ time is something you enjoy, then these music festivals will be right up your alley.

  1. Hangar Gest IV, on October 5 in Bessemer, brings an all-day outdoor music festival featuring popular bands.
  2. ShoalsFest in Florence, also on October 5, is a first-time music festival highlighting a variety of bands in this famous music-oriented town.
  3. Vulcan AfterTunes is a backyard-style music festival in Birmingham. From 1 until 6 p.m. on October 6, get your fill of craft beers and awesome views while soaking up the great sounds. Guests are welcome to bring a chair or blanket and set up a spot on the grassy field to enjoy a great view of the stage.
  4. The 2019 Frank Brown International Songwriters’ Festival in Orange Beach begins November 7 and runs through November 17. This music tour allows the audience to get up close and personal with the singer/songwriters and learn about the history of their songs.
  5. Moss Rock Festival plays November 2 and 3 in Hoover. Situated in the middle of nature on the 350-acre Moss Rock Preserve, this event allows you to absorb terrific sounds and scenery you’ll find only in Alabama.

We hope these music festivals encourage you to explore the areas around the Alabama Bass Trail. You are guaranteed a foot-stomping good time!
