Ahhh . . . summer days on the lake. Fishing, boating, swimming and other water activities fill the lakes along the Alabama Bass Trail during these warm months.
This season also boasts some exciting events along the trail. Whether you are interested in getting into the spirit of the Fourth of July or you love to rock out to great music, you’ll want to plan a visit to these lakes this summer.
July 4th Boat Parade – Lake Martin
Head out to Lake Martin to celebrate America’s birthday with a boat parade. Watch from the shore or decorate your boat for a chance to win a prize. Cash will be awarded for Largest Flag, Tallest Flag, Most Patriotic, Most Creative and Best Crew. The parade will start at 10 a.m. at Kowaliga Marina and finish around Children’s Harbor. Weiss Lake Music Festival – Weiss Lake
Come enjoy some music at Estes Field in Centre, Alabama. The festival takes place on August 6, 2022, from 6 until 10 p.m. Admission is free, and food and drink vendors will be on site. More information will be announced, so stay updated via the festival’s website.
After the events, crash at one of the many lodging or camping options in the Lake Martin and Weiss Lake areas.
