The Alabama Bass Trail is known for its bass fishing, but the fish aren’t the only thing biting on the trail. After a day on one of the many lakes, head to a local eatery for some good Southern cooking.

Decatur, AL
Upscale dining that offers fresh Cajun seafood and other tasty selections. There is also a pet-friendly sidewalk café, so bring your pup along!
Johnny’s Bar-B-Q
Cullman, AL
What about some Southern BBQ? Johnny’s has delicious barbecue chicken, catfish and more. Save room for some banana pudding!
The Kate Shepard House Bed and Breakfast
Mobile, AL
You can’t say you’ve tried Southern cooking without enjoying some grits. This award-winning bed and breakfast is an absolute must to check out. Try the Pecan Praline French Toast, which was voted one of “Alabama’s 100 Dishes You Must Eat Before You Die.”
