We love the idea of spending the long Labor Day weekend out on the water. If you are like-minded, grab your friends and family and head out to one of the many lakes along the Alabama Bass Trail.

The Alabama Bass Trail is home to 13 lakes and rivers. No matter which location you choose, you’ll find plenty to see and explore – and, of course, and abundance of fishing fun!

Let us help plan your Labor Day getaway.

Choosing a Lake

Alabama River, Wheeler Lake, and Lake Eufaula are just a few of the areas we encourage you to explore. Learn about each of the trail’s locations to discover the wide variety of recreational activities and fishing available. No two spots are the same! Whichever you choose, you can’t go wrong when it comes to Alabama fishing.

Attractions

When you think about spending a day at the lake, we know fishing is at the top of your list. But the ABT has many exciting activities to enjoy. From museums and national parks to ziplining and glass blowing, it’s easy to find something for everyone in your crew. Each lake’s information includes a list of attractions within an easy distance.

Lodging

A long weekend of fishing and adventures calls for some much-needed rest. For an off-the-grid experience, camping sites are available at each lake. For those more into the glamping experience, hotels are nearby.

Fishing

Can’t plan a weekend on the trail without thinking about the fish? We understand! Whether shore fishing or taking a boat out, each lake has some big ones ready to reel in! Fishing guides are a welcome addition if you would like expert advice regarding techniques, best fishing areas of the lake, and more. Check out each lake to see what’s biting!

Dining

Enjoying some delicious Southern cooking is a must when visiting the Alabama Bass Trail. Grab a bite at a local eatery to discover some new favorite dishes.

Plan your trip today by consulting the trail map. We’ll see you out on the trail very soon for some Labor Day fun!
