The holiday season is fast approaching and the Alabama Bass Trail is just the place to be. The lakes and rivers along the ABT provide perfect locations for you to create a meaningful connection with family and friends.

While on the trail, cast your line in the morning and afternoon, then enjoy simply being together in the evening. Press play on that holiday playlist while you bring out the card and board games. Some fun fishing-related games and activities for the family include Go Fish, Fishin’ Opoly, magnetic fish, a fish or lake puzzle, and Fish in a Barrel.

Wherever your trip takes you, participate in holiday events nearby. For example, if your plans take you to Lake Guntersville, kick off December with the Christmas Tree Lighting on November 30.

Love the music of the season? A stay in the Pickwick Lake area on December 5 could include their fun PEACE, JOY, LOVE Holiday Concert with Special Guest Vocalist.  Or catch Christmas Music in the Air on Dadesville Square at Lake Martin on December 9.

Joe Wheeler State Park’s Parade of Lights on December 11 takes fun and festive lights to the water to provide holiday joy to all.

If you’re fishing Mobile-Tensaw Delta, you’re bound to find many opportunities that will allow your holiday spirit  to shine.

Go big or keep it small. Either way, it’s easy to get in the spirit along the Alabama Bass Trail. Visit the ABT map to start planning your holiday getaway today!
