We know you have days when you want to get out and about, but fishing isn’t on the agenda. Need some ideas? We have something fun for you to try: Explore up-and-coming breweries around the Alabama Bass Trail. Each of these unique spots boasts the true flavor of Alabama.

We will start south and head north as we map out this brewery trail that involves no hiking. At the heart of the Mobile Bay, or Mobile-Tensaw River Delta as some call it, we find Fairhope Brewing Company. Located off the beaten path, this local hot spot has 15 brews on tap that will be sure to make you “hop” for joy!

After you stay the night in the Mobile Bay area, jump in your car and take I-65N to Birmingham. Stop in Avondale Brewing Company and learn the history of how they got their name. Next, try Good People Brewing Co., known for The Bearded Lady American Wheat Ale beer. We dare you to try one!

After you stop by Logan Martin Lake and choose your favorite fishing spot for spring, it’s time to head to the Back Forty Beer Company to reward yourself with a new flavor. Choose from a list of their specialty beers with fun names.

Next stop on the beer trail is Straight to Ale, known for their innovative brewing techniques. You may have seen them in the national news for setting up camp in a former Alabama middle school now known as Campus 805. Treat your taste buds in the old cafeteria and explore the expanding taprooms.

Our final stop on this trail is Blue Pants Brewery, located in Madison, Alabama. Here, you can kick your feet up and feel right at home with their “unreasonably good beer.”

Now that you know where to stop between your fishing holes, it’s time to get a group together and travel the trail! Share your fishing stories of the day over a cold one at any of these unique breweries in Alabama.
