There’s always something biting along the Alabama Bass Trail, making it known as the place to go to catch the big ones.
Fishing happens year-round here, but what can you expect to reel in on one of our many lakes during July?
- largemouth bass
- smallmouth bass
- stripers
- spotted bass
- crappie
- blue catfish
Fishing in the summer is a little different than during the other seasons. Bass want cooler water, so you might have to head out to deeper parts of the lakes to find them. Since summer brings more recreational activities to the lakes, fishing earlier in the morning or at night can help you avoid these distractions.
If you prefer to spend the day at the lake rather than tackling night fishing, be sure to stay cool:
- Bring enough water to stay hydrated.
- Take breaks in shaded areas.
- Wear sunscreen and a hat.
No matter when you go, enjoy your outdoor adventure!
