Neely Henry Lake
Neely Henry Reservoir is located in northeast Alabama on the Coosa River, near the towns of Gadsden and Ohatchee.
The reservoir, which fans out toward Weiss Dam, covers more than 11,000 acres and extends 77.6 miles.
Plump largemouth and spotted bass are the favorite catches here, but striped bass can be found in the summer, too. This community, with tournament-ready suppliers and facilities, is an ideal place for leisure fishermen to hit the water. The “lucky spots” are numerous around the lake’s many piers, boat docks and natural habitat.

About the Area
The communities of Hokes Bluff, Gadsden, Glencoe, Rainbow City and Southside are located along this Coosa River impoundment. While the once-a-year World’s Longest Yard Sale and the constant flow of Noccalula Falls may be the most well-known area attractions, there is plenty more to do here. From rock climbing to quarry diving, the range of outdoor activities here is second to none. Camping, hiking and golf are in the mix of popular outdoor activities, too.
