Lake Martin
Lake Martin is a 39,000-acre impoundment on the Tallapoosa River with an astounding 700 miles of shoreline.
Along with its spring and fall popularity, it’s considered to be one of the best wintertime bass fisheries in Alabama.
Fishermen of the summer season often opt for night fishing amid its clear waters. Nestled in rural Alabama between the Talladega and the Tuskegee National Forests, the lake is well known for more than just fishing – it’s a recreational centerpiece of the region. One of the largest manmade lakes in the country, this clear-water reservoir has plenty of space for fishermen as well as those who want to boat, swim or ski. Its shores are popular with campers and golfers, too.
