Lewis Smith Lake, also known as, Smith Lake is home to numerous world-record catches for spotted bass and is popular with angler from across the country. This 21, 000 acre lake located between Huntsville and Birmingham has a lot to offer. With the winding streams and sloughs to the steep bluffs along the 500 mile shoreline, you’re bound to catch some largemouth bass, spotted bass, and striped bass.

Along the shores of Lewis Smith Lake you can find marinas, recreation areas, and boat ramps. Close by you will find hotels, campgrounds, parks, stores, and attractions to fill your day, weekend, or week, when you’re not by the lake.

If you’re towing a boat with you, Smith Lake has marinas and boat launches all around. This makes it easy for you to put in the water at specific locations around the lake and dock where it may be convenient for you.
