There is no wrong lake to visit on the Alabama Bass Trail when you want to bring home a record size bass, but do you know what knot to do when you are fishing on the trail?
Consider learning and utilizing these knots for your next visit.
- The Palomar Knot. Known for its strength, it’s probably one of the quickest and easiest knots to tie, yielding a positive outcome when you hook that monster fish you are looking for.
- The Snell Knot. As a wrap used to set the hook in a different position, this can be used on the hook or the leader line. While it’s great for catching catfish, this knot or wrap is quite strong and durable, making it handy when up against any freshwater fish.
- The Albright Knot. This easy-to-tie knot provides tremendous strength and has gained popularity because it can be used on almost any kind of line and in any situation.
If you start with these three basic knots, you will be set up for success when you fish on any of the thirteen lakes along the Alabama Bass Trail.
