With spring just around the corner, the anticipated spring break season is upon us and we could not be more excited. A fantastic getaway results when you follow any part – or all! – of the Alabama Bass Trail. Whether you’re looking for a quiet escape or a lake minutes from downtown, the trail will not disappoint you.

Travel to mid-Alabama to Lay Lake or Logan Martin Lake. These two bodies of water are minutes from the trendy and charming downtown Birmingham area that features many different attractions. Take a day to walk through the charismatic streets of Montevallo, home of the University of Montevallo, and enjoy the artwork on display from local students.

Dine and shop after a day of fishing and outdoor activities on Logan Martin Lake in charming Pell City. Choose your lodging in town or enjoy waking up to views of the lake at the Lake Front Motel in Cropwell.

If you are traveling to the Alabama Gulf Coast for spring break, the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta is a short ride from the white-sand beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. The delta is known for its biodiversity and has been named one of Alabama’s “10 Natural Wonders.” Fish bass, bream, crappie and a mix of saltwater fish such as speckled trout, redfish and flounder throughout the many channels of the delta and bay. It’s truly a fisherman’s paradise.

Spring break is the perfect time to get out and fish any and all locations on the Alabama Bass Trail!
